Google Goes… Social

Yes!!
I’ve dying to be able to talk about this externally!!!
We’re finally lunching our +1 Button.
Let’s say you search something on Google and there’s a result you love. How do you indicate that? You just click on +1.
Do you find an ad displaying all the relevant information that you need? +1
Do you really want your friends to know that a particular page is worthy and relevant? +1
How do we share search results? +1
How can we help to get more relevant results and make sure than the rest know which those are? +1

The best way for you and your friends and family to say: This is something you should check out.

Soon, you’ll be able to +1 more than search results. Soon you’ll be able to +1 our ads and website!!
Isn’t it exciting?

AdWords Headline Extensions… The fight for the first positions!

Feb 10
2011

And what a great idea to make the ads more visible uh?
I’m sure some of you have noticed the change. Now there are ads with a longer headline (the blue underlined line of an ad text in AdWords).
The title has been linked to the first line of text for some ads and the result? More visible ads… more chances to be clicked!

The best part… what if we have an ad with the super headline and sitelinks? Yes, you guessed it. That ad will probably have a higher clickthrough rate.

Position has always been very important but now it should be one of your priorities. Have a look at the Capital One ad!

AdWords Headline Extension

You can find an example and some more information in our Official Blog!

Bye bye iPad!

Feb 03
2011

And although I’ve always declared myself Apple’s Fan, you got to admit it… Android Honeycomb is much better (in my opinion)

First, is an open system, it’s fast, efficient, even easier to use and offers total integration with Google Products.
Taking into account that you are probably using a Gmail account, maybe Calendar or Google Docs, Google Maps, Google Books etc. etc. I believe a system that allows you an easy integration for those is great!
What do you want your tablet for? Navigate! Browsing made simple right?

And let’s be honest… how many times do you visit Google.com (or your local domain)? What about YouTube?
iPad was the first and thank you Steve for that great mind of yours, but Android tablets… that’s the future.
As competition is one of the best things that could happen to the final customer, I’m looking forward to see the new version of the iPad. Can you imagine how the future tablets will be? This is just the beginning!

Jan 31
2011

Have you ever wondered about the popularity of certain terms?
Obviously there are different ways to measure that right?
What if we take how often those terms are mentioned in English books as a reference?
That’s what you’ll be able to see in our net Ngram Tool.
Please, go ahead and check it yourself!

Pick the words, the period of time and the language. Yes, the language. We also have French, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew…
