In love with Google Music

Jun 04

Yes, I’m in love. I can finally say it.

Since I first tried Google Music… I don’t know what iTunes is anymore.

Google Music is the new way to listen to your music. You simply upload your music from your computer/s to the cloud. Yes, computers. You can sync up to 8 computers or Android devices.

Once, you’ve uploaded everything… voilá.

You may be wondering… I can listen to my music as I’ve always done! iTunes, Windows Media, Winamp…. and you’re right.
However, can you listen to you music from any computer in the world or from your mobile phone?
Now you can do it easily by simply logging in to your Google account.

What is also amazing is the Android App. You can even listen to your music when you don’t have internet connection!!!!

But love isn’t perfect and I’m missing 2 important features:
- Transfer the music to my iPod
- Download the music! Since I have 3 computers synced I would love to able to download my tunes from Google Music to any of my computers.

But well… let’s see how the future looks like for Google Music!

The day I had no music

Apr 08
2011

Here I am… waiting for my plane to get to the gate and board for my flight. Grab my laptop, headphones and… where’s my music??

Oh yeah, I forgot… I don’t have music anymore because I listen to everything online!
I desperately search for my Rogers stick while I’m checking all the available wi-fi connections.
Finally I connect. I prepare a quick playlist on YouTube and start working on the presentation I’ll be delivering when I get to my destination.

This happened to me 3 days ago. Isn’t is amazing? I used to have 26gb of music on my computer and now what? YouTube, Pandora, Grooveshark, Spotify…. they’re spoiling us!
And what about keeping all your music on the cloud if I can’t reach that cloud?

Fortunately I had my iPod but I experienced a couple of seconds of a “Noooo!!!!” feeling.
I’m Internetaholic. I think I should go to rehab…
